About Alan Haburchak



Alan Haburchak is the Director of Studio & Technology at Mic and Adjunct Professor of Digital Media at the Columbia Journalism School. Before joining Mic he was a Senior Video Journalist at The New York Times and before that was the Production Manager for Editorial Video at Mashable, where he helped to build and manage a team of twenty shooter/editor/producers to create and publish quality video content across multiple platforms, both owned/on-site and distributed via Facebook and YouTube.

Before Mashable Alan was the Director of Video Evangelism for Videolicious, a mobile-first video technology startup. He also worked as the Multimedia Editor for Caixin Online, an industry-leading Chinese business publication in Beijing, and before working in China was part of TIME Magazine’s TIME.com multimedia team, producing video journalism for their website and tablet edition.
