Alan Haburchak is a multimedia journalist and currently an Adjunct Professor of Digital Media at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Prior to his appointment as adjunct faculty, Alan spent a year as a Digital Media Fellow at Columbia, working closely with faculty and staff to expand the scope of multimedia journalism being taught at the Journalism School.
As a student at Columbia he worked on a masters project exploring the lives of laid-off Bear Stearns employees, as well as reporting/producing multimedia content for the online magazine nyc24.com.
Also while at Columbia, Alan worked as reporter, producer, and editor on coverage of Barack Obama and John McCain’s visit to the Columbia campus and the 2008 election in New York City, to which he contributed print and multimedia pieces.
He is currently available for video editing, freelance multimedia journalism, or web development projects.
